More than 2,000 athletes will compete in one of 10 competitions in seven cities. Hundreds of coaches, volunteers and families will join in to support competitors. The Fall Regional Games, presented by Les Schwab Tire Centers, officially begins Sunday, October 31 with a bowling competition at Lakeshore Lanes in Albany. Regional competitions continue the following weekend with Corvallis hosting aquatics on Saturday, November 6 and soccer and volleyball on Sunday, November 7. Mt. Hood Community College in Gresham will also host aquatics on November 7. Steve Mitchell, says troopers were dispatched to a fatal motor vehicle crash on Interstate–5 southbound to a location about three miles north of Glendale, Oregon. A 1993 Ford pickup, driven by 52-year old Sheldon Masterson of Medford, was southbound when the vehicle suffered an apparent tire blowout. Acting Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division Loretta King and U.S. Attorney for the District of Oregon Karin J.
