	        <description> Milwaukie Police officers responded to the Northridge Condos at 12600 SE Freeman Way June 2, 2009 at 4:24 p.m.  A subject was reported to be bleeding and armed with a knife.  The two Milwaukie officers responded to the scene and report that they were confronted by a subject armed with a knife in the parking lot.

"When orders to drop the weapon were ignored, officers were forced to take action.  The subject was ultimately shot and died at the scene," Police Spokesman Kevin Krebs said.

	        <description> Two Milwaukie, Oregon Police officers shot and killed a man in the line of duty Tuesday.  It happened around 4:24 p.m. at the Northridge Condos on SE Freeman Way, according to Officer Kevin Krebs with Milwaukie P.D.  He says officers were responding to a welfare check involving a male subject who was bleeding and armed with a knife.

Krebs explained that the officers arriving on the scene, were confronted by that same male adult who reportedly had a knife.  It happened in the parking lot of the condominiums.

	        <description> Milwaukie Police are asking for help in locating a Milwaukie man missing since November 8th 2008.  The man may be a danger to himself and police would like to know where he is.

The missing man is 41-year old Albert "Eric" Davis of Milwaukie.  He last contacted his family at 2:20 p.m. on November 8th.  

Officer Kevin Krebs with Milwaukie Police, says Davis has not returned home and has not been at his place of employment, a construction company. He is a white male, Six-foot one, 195 pounds, bald with blue eyes and tattoos on both upper arms.

The person, identified as 59-year old Gurdev Sohi who lived in the Oregon City area, was deceased.  Detective Jeffrey Green with the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office says the location is a Texaco station and Express Oil Lube business. The area was secured and detectives responded.

	        <description> A Tualatin man was rescued Thursday afternoon by Oregon State Police Fish &amp; Wildlife officers and a US Fisheries agent when they spotted the exhausted, hypothermic man attempting to cling to a buoy in the middle of the Willamette River near Elk Rock Island in the Milwaukie-area. 

At approximately 12:25 PM OSP Sergent Chris Allori, Senior Trooper Roger Edwards and a US fisheries agent were conducting a routine fisheries patrol on the Willamette River near Elk Rock Island. 

While operating the boat upstream, Sergeant Allori spotted a man in the water who appeared to be trying to grab ahold of a buoy in the middle of the river.

	        <title> Governor Orders Flags to be Flown at Half-Staff in Memory of Oregon Soldier</title> 
	        <description> Governor Kulongoski has ordered all flags at public institutions to be flown at half-staff on Thursday, in memory of 22-year-old Army Specialist Robert L. Jones, of Milwaukie, Oregon.

Specialist Jones was assigned to the Army's 40th Engineer Battalion of Baumholder, Germany. He was killed on June 17, when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle in Ar Ramadi, Iraq. This was the second tour of duty in Iraq for Specialist Jones.

"The loss of this young leader is a tragedy for Oregon," said Governor Kulongoski. "Jones was a very brave soldier and we feel tremendous gratitude for his dedication and sacrifices he and his family have made to keep us safe.</description>

	        <title> Another Oregon Soldier Killed in Iraq</title> 
	        <description> A 22-year-old soldier from Milwaukie is dead, after a mortar explosion in Iraq.

Army Specialist Robert Jones was killed Friday in an ambush while on foot patrol in Baghdad, according to family friends.

A 2002 graduate of Rex Putnam High School, Jones was on his second tour of duty in Iraq. 

According to his father, Jones sent him a Father's Day card that arrived Thursday, sending his love, and wishing his father a happy holiday.
