	        <description> The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office had the sad duty of locating a small child Monday at Feyer Park, in Molalla. Sheriff's Office Spokesman, Detective Jim Strovink, says they learned by Monday evening that the child had died.

The child is identified as 5-year old Markian Barsukoff of Alberta, Canada.  "Markian was here in Oregon, visiting with his family to attend a wedding and family reunion," Strovink said.

	        <title> Oregon City Woman Dies in Crash on Highway 211</title> 
	        <description> Police say a 75-year old Oregon City woman died and her 8-year old great-grandson received non-life threatening injuries Tuesday afternoon when their car collided with a commercial truck at the intersection of Highway 211 and Canby-Marquam Highway west of Molalla.

Jeanette Lane is the driver who died in the crash.  Highway 211 remained closed until approximately 6:00 PM, for vehicle removal and completion of the on-scene crash investigation. 

OSP says the preliminary investigation indicates that today around 12:45 PM, a 2003 Buick Park Avenue driven by the victim was southbound on the Canby-Marquam Highway when it failed to come to a complete stop for a stop sign at the Highway 211 intersection.

	        <description> A Washington County man is in custody today following his attempt to elude city, county and state police officers in an incident that began in Salem and ended in Molalla on Sunday.

At approximately 5:00 PM, Salem Police Department contacted Oregon State Police and informed that they were in pursuit of a stolen grey 1989 Honda Prelude northbound on Interstate 5 in the Salem area. OSP troopers got in position north of Salem and fell in behind the vehicle as it continued northbound at speeds in excess of 100 mph. </description>

Clackams County Sheriff's Office Spokesman Jim Strovink says the driver of the Jeep was arrested for attempting to cross the river.  27-year old Vitaly K. Chernov of Vancouver, Washington was transported to the Clackamas County Jail and lodged for Reckless Driving.  He was cited at the facility and released.

	        <description> A Molalla-area man died early Friday morning in a single vehicle crash on Highway 213.  Police say it happened about 1/4 mile north of Spangler Road south of Oregon City.  The victim was found by family members after he failed to arrive at work this morning.

Investigators say that around 8:00 AM, the victim's red 1997 Chevrolet Blazer was found about 35 feet off Highway 213 near milepost 8 in a creek.  The lone occupant, 26-year old Mark Lester Salvetti of Molalla, reportedly left for work in Oregon City about 4:30 AM and failed to arrive.

At approximately 8:30 PM a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Salvador Compean, age 51, from Scotts Mills, was southbound on Highway 213 at a high rate of speed near Wagon Wheel Road when it left the highway and struck a power pole.
