Astounding Revelations about the Port Orford Meteorite

Coveted, analyzed, eulogized, and resurrected, the Port Orford Meteorite is the nucleus of one of Oregon’s classic stories of unclaimed wealth.

As both a historical curiosity and gem-laden pallasite meteorite, it would be considered priceless. The legend endures because of enigmatic artifacts from the past, like the talismans of Neahkahnie Mountain or the huge gold nuggets of the Blue Bucket Mine.

Volcano of Lo Plus

In a Sept. 30, 1998 UCSD television program titled: “The Moon of Jupiter”, pictures taken in 1997 were shown. One picture was of the moon Io with one half of the moon in daylight and one half in darkness.

The picture was taken to look at the surface details but when they stretched out the image to bring out the faint details, they realized these volcanic eruptions also glow faintly like fluorescent lights.

Occupy Wall Street User Manual--Part 1

In the 19th century, history was largely explained by The Great Man Theory , the paradigm that history was made and driven by extraordinary individuals who, through either charisma, intelligence, wisdom, or Machiavellian skills, expressed their power in a way that had a decisive impact on the flow of history.

Herbert Spencer, the 19th century Father of Sociology, rejected this idea, saying that such “great” men are really the products of their social milieu, and that their actions would be impossible outside their social environment.

Sun Tornadoes?

On March 29, 2012 ABC News played a video of a tornado on the Sun and reported the tornado was “Five times wider than the size of Earth with wind spinning at 186,000 miles per hour.”

I don’t believe anyone would try to say that this tornado on the Sun was the result of warm moist air colliding with cold air as they explain the tornadoes on Earth.

Comets are the most researched phenomenon for over 100 years. If you check the Wikipedia report regarding Comet Hyakutake and compare it to the following “Flash News” report issued over 25 years ago, you will understand why they are not understood...

The Wikipedia report states: “One of the great surprises of Hyakutake passage through the inner Solar System was the discovery that it was emitting X-rays.

This injunction was an attempt by the ICR to immediately halt Sea Shepherd’s anti-whaling activities in the Southern Ocean Whale Sanctuary.

Unraveling the Mysteries Behind Visible Stars

The two photos in my last article, "Astronomy Picture of the Day" and the "Fountains of Enceladus" are very important for this reason: If there were that many particles in our atmosphere, it would be difficult to see the stars at night.

So, it is the detected and measured “magnetic portal” that stimulates the normally invisible gases in the Earth’s atmosphere to this colorful glow similar to the colorful glow of the “plume of Enceladus”.

Radiated Heat Versus Radiated Energy

It is absolutely impossible for an internal 20 million degree internal heat source of any kind to radiate a 3 million degree temperature to the corona and leave a relatively cool 10,000 degree surface of the Sun between these two awesome temperature extremes.

“We are just beginning to understand how the Earth’s atmosphere operates. We’re beginning to understand meteorology as a result of detailed observations from space. Now we’re going to understand the motions on the Sun. It could be a phenomenon similar to what’s happening on Earth and it will, I believe, herald a new era of solar meteorology.”

NASA's Upper Atmosphere Research Satellite, expected to reenter earth's atmosphere in the next few hours, is out of fuel and also out of control according to experts with the national space agency.

The spacecraft is expected to re-enter Earth's atmosphere late today or early tomorrow, after six years of productive scientific life. Although the spacecraft will break into pieces during re-entry, not all of it will burn up in the atmosphere. Scientists say the craft is not descending toward re-entry as rapidly as expected.

NASA and NSF-Funded Research Finds First Potentially Habitable Exoplanet

A team of planet hunters from the University of California (UC) Santa Cruz, and the Carnegie Institution of Washington has announced the discovery of a planet with three times the mass of Earth orbiting a nearby star at a distance that places it squarely in the middle of the star's "habitable zone."

This discovery was the result of more than a decade of observations using the W. M. Keck Observatory in Hawaii, one of the world's largest optical telescopes. The research, sponsored by NASA and the National Science Foundation, placed the planet in an area where liquid water could exist on the planet's surface. If confirmed, this would be the most Earth-like exoplanet yet discovered and the first strong case for a potentially habitable one.

"We may decide on Saturday that we don't need to use our final opportunity for fine tuning the trajectory Phoenix is on. Either way, we will continue to monitor the trajectory throughout Saturday night, on the off chance we need to execute our contingency maneuver eight hours before entry."
