	        <title> Newberg-Dundee Officer Involved in a Vehicle Crash</title> 
	        <description> An officer of the Newberg-Dundee Police Department was involved in a crash Tuesday on Hwy 219 near Sitka.  The officer was in uniform, driving a marked police car, and traveling Northbound on Hwy 219 when he reported observing a vehicle traveling Southbound without its head lights on.

The officer activated the emergency lights and attempted to make a traffic enforcement stop by performing a U-Turn at the Sitka intersection.

	        <description> A Newberg man is missing, and a search is underway in the Willamette River near Dayton.  

According to Yamhill County Sheriff Jack Crabtree, the investigation began when boaters reported an unusual incident on Friday. “At about 10:23 am on November 26th, my Deputies and Newberg Fire Department Dive / Rescue Team both received a call that a boat may have sunk in the Willamette River near Westin Landing and Mallard Lane” Crabtree said.

	        <description> With record-setting seasons behind them, setter Ali Toedtemeier and libero Patti Reeves of George Fox University have received honorable mention for the 2010 All-Northwest Conference Volleyball Teams as voted on by the league’s nine coaches and announced today by the conference office.

Toedtemeier, a senior from Beaverton, Ore., totaled 914 assists in 26 matches and 94 sets, averaging 9.71 assists per set.  She also had 258 digs (2.74 dps), 20 kills, 18 service aces, and 19 blocks (one solo, 18 assisted).  Her assists total was the 10th-highest in a single season at George Fox.  She ranked third in the conference in assists and 15th in digs. </description>

	        <title> Pedestrian-Involved Traffic Crash on Highway 219 in Newberg</title> 
	        <description> Police say a a 21-year old male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Everest Road and Hwy 219 at approximately 5:30 p.m., the Newberg-Dundee Police Dept responded. 

Initially Life Flight was activated and the pedestrian was transported to the Sportsman Air Park however as emergency personnel did not transport because it was realized the pedestrian had succumbed to his injuries.

	        <description> In a season-ending defensive contest that saw only four shots on goal taken by both teams combined, the Pacific Lutheran University Lutes edged the George Fox University Bruins 1-0 in a Northwest Conference women’s soccer match on a rainy Saturday afternoon here at the PLU soccer field.

The only score of the game came in the 50th minute during the second half, when the Lutes’ Brittany Bronson kicked in a tip from Jordann Gilmer from seven yards out.  It was Bronson’s second score of the season.</description>

	        <description> Four members of the Western Oregon men’s basketball team scored in double figures as the Wolves came away with a 72-63 victory over George Fox in its exhibition opener, Saturday, Nov. 6.

Kolton Nelson and Kyle Long each had 17 points to lead the Western Oregon. Nelson also added 13 rebounds to complete the double-double. He went 7-of-11 from the field and 3-of-4 from the line. Long came off the bench to score his 17. He made 5-of-9 shots from the field, including a trio of three-point baskets. The Wolves also got 15 points from Blair Wheadon and 13 from Kris White.</description>

Investigation revealed that eighteen-year-old Ian L. Beyers of Canby was traveling southbound in his 1994 Jeep Cherokee when he lost control of his car as it started up an incline on the gravel road.
