World Attention Focuses on UK Political Prisoners: Musa Family and Aviation Adventurer Maurice Kirk

We have been receiving a flurry of information about the family of Gloria Musa in the UK, who has suffered by many accounts, a terrible injustice from the British government.

I hope many people involve themselves and reach out to public officials to help this unfortunate family, originally from Nigeria, who seems to be running into dead-ends everywhere they turn.

The Drop Zone - Sky Diving at Perth

My ears popped, the plane door opened, and I was free falling. These 60 seconds feel like a long time, time suspended. I am hooked.

The day began early. Sun shining, no breeze: ideal conditions for skydiving. The aerodrome is an hour out of Perth. I'd be tethered to a man I’d never met for five minutes and 60 seconds. I had read of stories where the main shoot had been tangled up and the instructor had to jettison it before pulling the backup auxiliary shoot.

“For 2010, white sturgeon harvest guidelines were reduced 40 percent because of declining trends in numbers of fish,” said John North, fisheries manager for ODFW’s Ocean Salmon and Columbia River Program.
