The 6:40 PM crash involved two vehicles and claimed the life of a 21-year old St. Paul woman. Oregon State Police troopers say it appears that a westbound 2005 Honda Accord lost control on a patch of ice and slid into the path of an eastbound 1988 Ford pickup truck. The operator of the Honda, 21-year old Rebecca A. They say John Hillebrand was taken by Life Flight to OHSU where he underwent emergency surgery for wounds sustained in the assault. James B. Kinslow, the other man involved, was taken to the Willamette Valley Medical center where he was treated and released for minor stab wounds also sustained in the assault. Yamhill County Sheriff Jack Crabtree says deputies immediately located 37-year old Brian Martin Weant at the scene. But because the mobile home drew so much community opposition, a Yamhill County sheriff's department official says it will now close. The house, operated by Stepping Out Ministries, which operates two similar facilities in Salem. In Sheridan, west of McMinnville, it had a triple-wide mobile home. Lt.
