Judge Lynn Ashcroft handed the verdict down Thursday, after criticizing members of both families behind the charges. The judge reportedly said that the child was put in the middle and that family members attempted to tell her what to say, adding that the family did not put her needs first. Stayton Police say that at that time, they received a report of a possible sexual offense which is alleged to have occurred at Marian Estates, located at 390 Church Street in Sublimity. The reported victim was a 70 year old resident. Police say employees found the couple around 6:30 AM in the Elliott, the assisted living portion of Marian Estates.
