Since the dawn of time artists have been "showing" us what has been under our noses all along by taking the familiar and emphasizing some aspect of it to reawaken our eyes.

<title> Video of Fishing Vessel Network's Capsizing Released</title>
<description> The U.S. Coast Guard has released video of a tragic capsizing that took place early last Friday morning in Oregon's Tillamook Bay. The heart wrenching scenes were recorded by a Coast Guard volunteer named Sherry Newman.

In one clip, we see the fishing vessel Network struck by a large wave while the crew was struggling to make headway in the tremendous surf, very close to the end of the north jetty at the mouth of Tillamook Bay.

The Coast Guard 47-foot motor lifeboat that responded to aid the Network stayed very close during the ordeal. It seems amazing that the Coast Guard boat was actually there as the tragedy occurred. It speaks to the extreme conditions that overtook the fishing vessel.

Coast Guard crews including two 47-foot motor lifeboat crews from Station Tillamook Bay, and three HH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crews from Air Station Astoria, searched 15 square miles for seven hours in order to locate the men.

The capsizing was initially reported by a Coast Guard 47-foot motor lifeboat crew from Station Tillamook Bay that witnessed the event. One of the three men aboard the vessel was able to swim to shore where he was taken to the Tillamook hospital by fire crews from Rockaway Beach and Garibaldi. Contrary to previous reports, none of the men were wearing lifejackets.

	        <title> Salvation Army Responding to Tillamook-Area Floods</title>
<description> The Salvation Army has emergency canteens and personnel standing by for deployment in response to the biggest flood crisis in the Tillamook area since 1996.

Roughly 50 families have been displaced and are receiving help from neighbors and local bed and breakfast establishments.

Cars, mobile homes, and buildings have sustained significant damage, with some mobile homes being swept away. One dairy farmer and his family, stranded by the water, watched helplessly as their heifers succumbed to the floodwaters.

Farmers from around the area are already responding, helping to round up the remaining cattle. A neighbor in a motor boat has rescued the family who will be sheltered by local Salvation Army personnel.
