<title> The Secrets of Mt. Hebo</title>
<description> Mount Hebo rises abruptly to an elevation of 3,176 ft. in the Northern Oregon Coast Range on the border between Tillamook County and Yamhill County.

It's proximity to the Pacific Ocean makes it an outstanding viewpoint and also made it a logical location for an Air Force General Surveillance Radar Station that was active from 1956 to 1980.

<title> Salem-News Mourns Loss of Cloverdale Businesses in Friday Fire</title>
<description> It was painful to see images last night of the historic town of Cloverdale, Oregon burning. It was like a scene from another time; fire moved quickly from one building to the next. It didn't even spare the fire station itself.

I know one thing, the fire had to be bad, really bad... because the Nestucca Rural Fire District is the best in the west; a band of volunteers as good as any, maybe better.

<title> Today is the Sixty Fifth Anniversary of Oregon's Cape Lookout B-17 Bomber Crash </title>
<description> I always thought old airplanes were cool, but I became very interested the giant WWII B-17 bombers while researching a historic crash site at Cape Lookout in Tillamook County, Oregon in the early 1990's.

It was sixty five years ago on this date, that this four-engine plane and her crew of 10 U.S. Army aviators were lost in the fog, flying close to the ocean as they tried to find a landmark. The sole survivor of the crash, 2nd Lt. Wilbur Perez, was the plane's bombardier.
