<title> The Secrets of Mt. Hebo</title>
<description> Mount Hebo rises abruptly to an elevation of 3,176 ft. in the Northern Oregon Coast Range on the border between Tillamook County and Yamhill County.

It's proximity to the Pacific Ocean makes it an outstanding viewpoint and also made it a logical location for an Air Force General Surveillance Radar Station that was active from 1956 to 1980.

	        <title> Crime and Punishment</title>
<description> On June 29, 2009, Bernard Madoff, convicted of the largest Ponzi scheme in history (about $65 billion) was sentenced to 150 years in prison. He’ll never wear a silk shirt again—except for the last time when he won’t feel it.

Considering that most crime is committed for money—either directly or indirectly—a little exploration might be both fun, educational—and discouraging.

<title> Willamina Residents Say Officials Refuse to Help Abandoned Dogs (UPDATE)</title>
<description> Residents in a Willamina neighborhood say dogs abandoned for over a month in the front yard of a run down rental, are in poor health, living without regular food and water, and in need of intervention.

Lee and Paulette Grant say law enforcement officials in this rural community at the base of the coastal mountains, haven’t helped these animals so far, and they are at their wits end.

“They have been out here in 100 degree weather,” Paulette Grant said. She and her husband Lee, along with other neighbors here on First Street in Willamina, say it is heartbreaking and they feel there are few choices anyone can make to avoid what they see as a clear case of animal abandonment.
