Winter Storm Warning - Northern Oregon Cascades (Oregon)

Government Camp Detroit Santiam Pass Mckenzie Bridge Oakridge Willamette Pass Coldwater Ridge Visitors Center Mount St. Helens 344 Am Pst Sun Nov 22 2009 Winter Storm Warning Remains In Effect Until 4 Pm Pst This Afternoon For The North And Central Oregon Cascades And The South Washington Cascades A Winter Storm Warning For Snow And Blowing Snow Remains In Effect Until 4 Pm Pst This Afternoon. Snow Will Continue Today Heavy At Times Especially In The Morning. Snow Levels Will Be Around 2500 Feet. New Accumulations Today Are Expected To Range From 5 To 9 Inches. Strong West Winds Will Develop Early This Morning Then Decrease In The Afternoon. Winds Will Increase To 25 To 35 Mph With Gusts At Exposed Areas Up To 65 Mph This Morning. This Will Cause Considerable Blowing Snow With Near Blizzard Conditions At Times. Precautionary/preparedness Actions A Winter Storm Warning For Heavy Snow Means Severe Winter Weather Conditions Are Expected Or Occurring. Significant Amounts Of Snow Are Forecast That Will Make Travel Dangerous. Only Travel In An Emergency. If You Must Travel Keep An Extra Flashlight Food And Water In Your Vehicle In Case Of An Emergency.
