Why Don`t They Publish Us?

Is it possible to break the cycle of mainstream madness? People are missing too much real information.

(TEHRAN) - Salem-News.com From the Guardian and New York Times to the Washington Post and Reuters, I've submitted several op-ed pieces and articles to the world's mainstream media outlets over the past years.

Oregonian Lays Off 37 Employees

So far we have learned that the layoff list includes Restaurant Editor Karen Brooks, Columnist Margie Boule and A&E Editor Shawn Vitt.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - The Oregonian The Oregonian newspaper announced the layoffs of 37 employees today. Most of those let go are from the paper's news department, some are names that NW readers will quickly recognize.

The Oregonian also laid off smaller numbers in advertising, circulation and accounting. A story from the Oregonian stated that staff members were notified this morning.

Stuck Between My Wife and the Kids

Good relationships don't come easy, but personal growth is also a benefit.

E-mail, Etiquette, and Friends

Our children are growing up with technology and it will all be a part of their lives hereafter.

(AGOURA, Calif.) - Teen using computer E-mail is so ubiquitous that we forget that it isn’t talking on the phone or having a conversation in person. Subtlety, facial expressions, or tonality are all lost in an e-mail message.

I have found this has gotten me in trouble when I think I’m being funny, subtle, or sarcastic in an e-mail. And, the habit many of us have of forwarding a joke, photo, or an article creates even greater problems in many cases.
