Be Aware! 25th Street SE to Close at Shelton Ditch on Monday

This work and street closure will continue into mid October.
(SALEM, Ore. ) -
Beginning Monday, 25th Street SE will be CLOSED to through traffic at Shelton Ditch in order to widen the existing bridge.
During construction 25th Street SE will be closed to through-traffic from Hyde Street SE to Hyde Court SE.
Primary detour routes will be on Mission Street SE, 17th Street SE, Airport Way SE, and State Street.

Salem area traffic report: Expect normal backups heading into the city this morning on Commercial St, the Center Street Bridge, Lancaster Drive, and Mission St. I-5 between Salem and Portland, and Highway 22 east and west are reported clear.
Portland area traffic report: No accidents being reported. Expect the usual delays heading into the downtown area.

Be Aware! Oregon Hwy. 201 is Being Detoured in Eastern Oregon

Motorists are advised to drive with extra caution in the area and while on the detour route.
(ONTARIO, Ore. ) -
Oregon Hwy. 201 is being detoured onto city and county streets in Ontario due to an I-84 overpass bridge at Exit 374 that was damaged earlier today.
Westbound I-84 traffic can safely pass under the bridge.
Eastbound I-84 traffic will be detoured off of the interstate at the Exit 374 off-ramp, then back onto the interstate using the eastbound Exit 374 on-ramp.

Be Aware! No More Studded Tires in Oregon Beginning Sunday

ODOT is NOT extending the studded tire season this year? The deadline remains April 1st.
(SALEM) -
A sure sign of springtime is the approach of Oregon's deadline to remove studded tires from motor vehicles by Sunday, April 1st.
Weather forecasts from the National Weather Service predict that daytime temperatures will be in the low to mid 50's next week with only a chance of rain showers even in Central Oregon.
Drivers with studded tires on their vehicles after the deadline can be charged with a Class C traffic violation, which carries a maximum $145 fine.

Three Lanes of Westbound Sunset Highway Now Open

Lanes on Westbound U.S. 26, West of the Vista Ridge Tunnel, have been reopened.
(PORTLAND) -
Westbound U.S. 26 west of the tunnel was completely closed Wednesday morning after landslides caused mud, rock and trees to spill onto the highway.
The far right lane of westbound U.S. 26 at the spot of the landslide will remain closed until further notice
Westbound US 26 (Sunset Highway) was completely closed for most of the day west of the Vista Ridge Tunnel.

The sewer, storm, and water rehabilitation projects are needed to replace services that have reached the end of service life.

Beginning April 9th, Market Street NE will be CLOSED to through traffic between the Union Pacific Railroad and 17th Street NE for sewer and water line construction.
Local access will be maintained for residents and emergency services throughout the project.
Primary detour routes will be eastbound on D Street NE and westbound on Sunnyview Road NE.
