What Abuse Survivors Expect from the Portland Crime Victims Conference

90 experts in Portland will talk about crime victims, while countless Oregonians continue to suffer needlessly.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Victim's advocates will gather in Portland next week during a special conference called "Responses, Rights, and Resources for Crime Victims". Plenty of money will be spent on the event, and a host of people will be there to talk about the importance of taking care of crime victims.

Organizers say events like this are very beneficial for Oregon, but if you talk to an actual crime victim here, you might get an entirely different picture.

Motorcycles, Music and Charity - Concert to Benefit Bradley-Angle House

Bradley-Angle House was the first domestic violence shelter on the West coast.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - A charity concert is being held at the Milwaukie, Elks Lodge on May, 31st 2008 to benefit Bradley-Angle House. Six local indie bands have volunteered their time for the cause of raising money for this worthy cause.

The Portland Road Runners have partnered with the Milwaukie Elks Lodge and the Order of Thelemic Knights for the purposes of raising funds for Bradley-Angle House, Portland's oldest Women's Shelter. Lunch, dinner and all day family friendly concert will be provided to the public.
