One Person Killed in Crash Near Estacada

Oregon State Police and local emergency responders are on scene.

(ESTACADA, Ore.) - Fatal crash Oregon State Police troopers say they are on the scene of a fatal crash in Milo McIver State Park. This area is located along South Springwater Road near Estacada, near the park's boat ramp.

Troopers on the scene report a single vehicle off road into a tree. They say there is one confirmed fatality at the crash scene, along with other reported injuries.

Estacada Man Arrested in Crash that Killed Motorcyclist

A Saturday evening traffic crash in Estacada, left a Washington motorcyclist dead.

(ESTACADA, Ore.) - Salem-News.com Oregon State Police troopers arrested an Estacada man after he was released from a Portland hospital, for a crash that killed a Washington motorcyclist Saturday evening.

The investigation indicates a 1973 BMW motorcycle operated by 34-year old Van Kellems III of White Salmon, Washington was eastbound on Highway 224 just west of Estacada when a westbound 1992 Toyota 4Runner driven by 32-year old Christopher Mixon of Estacada, made a left turn directly in the path of the motorcycle.

Possible Witness Sought by OSP as Part of Fatal Auto Pedestrian Crash Near Estacada

Anyone with information about the vehicle, driver or collision is asked to contact the Oregon State Police at (503) 731-3030.

(ESTACADA, Ore.) - Salem-News.com Oregon State Police are continuing their investigation of a fatal hit and run crash Friday night, and they're asking for the public's help to identify the vehicle and driver that was involved.

The crash resulted in the death of an Estacada-area man. It happened on Highway 224 about one-half mile east of Estacada.

Clackamas Deputies Investigate Fatal Car Crash In Estacada (PHOTO SERIES)

At the time of the crash, a blanket of extensive fog was covering the Portland Metro area; which prevented the patient from being medically air lifted to a local Portland Hospital.

(ESTACADA, Ore.) - Fatal in Estacada, Ore. 2-1-09 A Clackamas County deputy responding to a report of a single vehicle crash in front of Estacada High School on NE 6th Avenue in Estacada, arrived on the scene of what turned out to be a fatal crash involving a lone driver. It happened Sunday morning at 12:02 a.m.

Detective Jim Strovink with the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, says the one patient involved in this crash was extracted from the vehicle and medically air lifted by a Reach Air Ambulance from the scene to a Corvallis Hospital, where the patient later died.

Fatal Plane Crash in Estacada Claims Two

Rescue personnel on the scene had to contend with a serious crash scene and the victims had to be extricated from within the fuselage.

(ESTACADA, Ore.) - This is the type of plane that crashed, a 1964 Cessna P206 Two people died Tuesday when a Cessna 206 airplane crashed at 30751 SE Lawrence Road in Estacada‏ around 7:30 PM. Investigators with the Clackamas Sheriff's Office say their communications center received information from a concerned citizen that a small aircraft had flown over his home with no lights on and moments later he heard a series of crashing sounds believed to have been the plane hitting trees or the ground.

Sheriff's Office Spokesman Det. Jim Strovink says that less than 5-minutes later, an additional emergency call was received by CCOM reporting the pilot of this small plane was experiencing electrical problems and all his equipment on the plane was inoperable.

"It is believed the pilot of this plane in distress had called a friend on the ground from his cell phone to report the problems encountered onboard the aircraft," Strovink said.

87-Year Old Woman Attacked By Four Dogs in Estacada

Investigators say the dog's owners were cooperative.

(ESTACADA, Ore.) - 87-year old woman who was attacked by a dog in Oregon, 6-1-08 An 87-year old woman survived an attack by four dogs Saturday around 7:25 PM as she was taking her nightly stroll on SE Divers Road in Estacada.

Jim Strovink with the Clackamas Sheriff's Office says Stella A. Severtsen was attacked and bitten by four dogs that escaped from a well enclosed, 8-foot tall chain link kennel area.

Two People Die in Crash on Highway 224 East of Estacada

Police say the car was eastbound on Highway 224 negotiating a left curve when it lost control and drove off the right shoulder.

(ESTACADA, Ore.) - Double fatal crash, Estacada, Oregon 6-1-08 Two people died and one was seriously injured early Sunday morning in a single vehicle crash on Highway 224 about thirty miles east of Estacada, Oregon State Police say.

A motorist came upon the scene of a tree across the highway and upon checking the situation spotted a car down an embankment where one of the occupants was seriously injured but alive.

Three Die in Crash on Highway 224

Police say all names will be released following positive identification of the deceased persons and next of kin notifications.

(ESTACADA, Ore.) - Police say two people died and one was seriously injured early this morning in a single vehicle crash on Highway 224 about thirty miles east of Estacada. The names of the three occupants are withheld pending positive identification and next of kin notifications.

Oregon State Police Sergeant Fred Testa says that around 5:53 AM, a report was received of a single vehicle crash on Highway 224 in the Ripplebrook area near milepost 49.

Aggressive Behavior at Game Leads to Arrest of Basketball Coach

Clackamas County deputies arrest 6th grade girls basketball coach over disturbance at Saturday game.

(CLACKAMAS, Ore.) - 34-year old Jeffery Scott Larsen, a head coach in Molalla, received two technical fouls and was ejected from the game. A disturbance that erupted on the basketball court at Estacada High School Saturday led to the arrest of a coach for Criminal Trespassing of a Sporting Event over the weekend.

Clackamas County Sheriff's deputies in Estacada were called to the school at noon after a report of a disturbance on the court. Problems apparently stemmed from the calls of a 17-year old referee at the 6th grade girls basketball game between Estacada and Molalla.
