BBB Alarms Consumers of Serious Complaints Against a Local Language School.
(LAKE OSWEGO, Ore.) -
Students paying thousands of dollars for foreign language study courses and study abroad programs say that World Link Education, Inc., or WLE, cashed tuition checks, but discontinued classes without notice.
The Seattle-based language school raised concerns with Better Business Bureau due to reports that it recently ceased operations and failed to provide explanations to its actively enrolled students.

When natural disasters strike, con artists prey on those looking for details and hoping to help. BBB serving Alaska, Oregon, and Western Washington warns consumers that scams often circulate when natural disasters occur, such as tsunamis, hurricanes, earthquakes and floods.
Scammers were quick to respond to the tsunami that hit Samoa and surrounding islands on September 29.

BBB serving Alaska, Oregon, and Western Washington has processed 14 complaints on the company in the last 12 months. Due to the seriousness of the complaints, and the 9 unanswered or unresolved complaints, GivenRight Research Inc has a BBB Rating of "F".

Police say one person was killed early Saturday morning in a two vehicle traffic collision on I-5 in Lake Oswego. It happened about 2:10 a.m. Saturday, September 12th,
Oregon State Police Sgt. Daniel Swift says troopers from Tualatin and Portland responded to the two vehicle collision on northbound I-5 near Exit 290 in Lake Oswego.

Lake Oswego Man Missing: Police and Family Seek Public Help

Jeff Clausen was last seen driving his white 2003 Chevrolet Suburban. He's known to frequent the Columbia River Gorge and Eastern Oregon in the past.
(LAKE OSWEGO, Ore.) -
Lake Oswego Police say Jeffrey Bradford Clausen was last seen 18 days ago on the morning of June 12th 2009 when he left his residence in Lake Oswego.
Mr. Clausen requires certain medications for serious health conditions and it is believed that he does not have these medications with him. This causes great concern as to the current health, and physical condition, of Mr. Clausen who has also been reportedly recently depressed.
