McMinnville Teen Receives Gunshot Wound After Confrontation

Police are looking for two Hispanic males involved in this incident.

(MCMINNVILLE, Ore.) - A 19-year old McMinnville man is hospitalized today after he was shot last night, following an altercation on Evans Street.

Police say that according to several witnesses and the victim, Jacob Way, got into a confrontation with two Hispanic males on Evans Street between 24th St. and Baker Creek Rd in McMinnville late last night.

This study also says that nearly half of the young African-American women (48%) they polled were infected with an STD, compared to 20% of young white women.

(CHICAGO) - A CDC study released today estimates that one in four (26 percent) young women between the ages of 14 and 19 in the United States – or 3.2 million teenage girls – is infected with at least one of the most common sexually transmitted diseases (human papillomavirus (HPV), chlamydia, herpes simplex virus, and trichomoniasis).

The two most common STDs overall were human papillomavirus, or HPV (18 percent), and chlamydia (4 percent). Data were based on an analysis of the 2003-2004 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey.

Teen Driver Dies in Crash Near Hebo

A two-month old boy in a child safety seat was not injured.

(HEBO, Ore.) - A 17-year old Beaver-area girl died and two others were injured Saturday night when she lost control of her car on Highway 101 near Hebo and crashed head-on with a sport utility vehicle.

Police say that around 9:00 PM, a 1995 Saturn station wagon was southbound on Highway 101 near milepost 84 coming out of a left curve when it lost control, drove across the centerline and crashed head-on with a 1999 Ford Explorer.
