Officials suspect that the driver lost control during a near blackout.
(SALEM) - A Cadillac driven by a 62-year old Salem woman slammed into a rental office Tuesday afternoon according to Salem Fire Spokesman Bill Holmstrom, who says it is amazing that no injuries occurred.
Holmstrom says it happened at 1172 Royvonne, at the Highland Apartments.
Salem Firefighter/Paramedics responded to the crash at 1:31 PM Tuesday.
Liz Patterson, the manager of Highland Apartments, was in her office, "When all of sudden a car came crashing into the building." Although Mrs. Patterson was not hurt, she was quite shaken.
62-year old Lola Morgan, the driver of the vehicle, apparently almost blacken out for a moment, causing her to smash her rental car into the side of the building.
Salem Police are conducting the full investigation.
