Car Slams Through Salem BuildingSalem-News.comOfficials suspect that the driver lost control during a near blackout.
(SALEM) - A Cadillac driven by a 62-year old Salem woman slammed into a rental office Tuesday afternoon according to Salem Fire Spokesman Bill Holmstrom, who says it is amazing that no injuries occurred.
Salem Firefighter/Paramedics responded to the crash at 1:31 PM Tuesday. Liz Patterson, the manager of Highland Apartments, was in her office, "When all of sudden a car came crashing into the building." Although Mrs. Patterson was not hurt, she was quite shaken. 62-year old Lola Morgan, the driver of the vehicle, apparently almost blacken out for a moment, causing her to smash her rental car into the side of the building. Salem Police are conducting the full investigation.
