The victim recalls seeing a dirty white or silver American-made style passenger car in the area shortly before the incident.
(STAYTON) - Oregon State Police detectives are continuing the investigation into a reported shooting that allegedly occurred along Highway 22 in the Stayton area early Friday morning.
At approximately 1:48 AM, a report was received from the victim advising he had been shot while stopped on the westbound shoulder of Highway 22 near milepost 13 east of the Santiam Golf Club.
The victim, a 27-year old male Salem resident, was transported to Santiam Memorial Hospital for treatment of a non-life threatening shoulder wound.
According to the victim, he was seated in his silver Ford F-150 pickup on the highway shoulder when he was shot in the shoulder area.
The victim recalls seeing a dirty white or silver American-made style passenger car in the area shortly before the incident, but investigators are not sure if this is related to this incident.
