PTSD: Medical Marijuana Clinical Studies Confirm Benefits

About fifty years late.

(MOLALLA, Ore.) - Sour diesel strain of cannabis being grown for medical purposes that could in turn, be used to treat PTSD West Coast Leaf- winter edition, just published the results of a two-year clinical trial about cannabis for PTSD comparing about 40 victims receiving cannabis with about 40 who did not. This work was done at Bat-Yam in Israel and reported at the Cannabinoid Conference 2011 in Bonn, Germany.

The Israeli Army has been using cannabis successfully for its soldiers for since it was officially announced by the IDF (Israeli Defence Forces) but this seems to be the first clinically controlled study.

Gibson Pushes Bill to Help Vietnam Veterans

The bill would move the position of the U.S. government back toward what it was in 1991, when the original Agent Orange legislation was passed.

(DANANG, Vietnam) - Congressman Chris Gibson Congressman Chris Gibson, R-Kinderhook, has introduced a bill to extend benefits for ailments associated with Agent Orange exposure suffered by "blue water veterans" who served in Vietnam aboard Navy ships but did not set foot on land.

The bill, H.R. 3612, is a companion to similar legislation introduced in the Senate earlier this year by U.S. Sens. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., and Lindsey Graham, R-S.C.

Flawed Studies Used to Claim Circumcision Reduces HIV Infection

(BOSTON) - Baby An article in the December Journal of Law and Medicine cites numerous flaws in three African studies that claim male circumcision reduces transmission of HIV.

According to the article, the studies, which are being used to promote the circumcision of up to 38 million men in Africa, had selection bias, inadequate blinding, problematic randomization, experimenter bias, lead time bias, supportive bias, participant expectation bias, time-out discrepancy, and lack of investigating of non-sexual HIV transmission among other confounding factors and problems.
