NBA: Former Oregon State Star Signs With Kings

Moreland averaged 3.5 points, 8.8 rebounds, a team-high 2.7 blocks in six games off the bench for the Kings NBA Summer League Championship squad.

Volcanoes Rally to Stun Dust Devils

The Volcanoes are now 7-2 in the Northwest League second half.

(PASCO, Wash. ) - Salem Keizer Volcanoes Salem-Keizer claimed a come-from-behind win over Tri-City 8-7 Wednesday night in front of 1,358 at Gesa Satdium.

The Volcanoes were down 6-1 entering action in the top of the seventh inning, and finished the game on a 7-1 comeback, including four runs in the top of the ninth inning to claim the first game of the five-game series against the Dust Devils.

Oregon National Guard Hoopla and Bob`s Hamburgers a Slam Dunk for Salem

Organizers and the City of Salem say they expect some 800 teams and 700 volunteers to take part in this years event.

(SALEM, Ore. ) - Salem Hoopla Dunk Workers in and around the Oregon State Capitol Mall may smell something they haven't smelled in a long, long, time.

That smell will be coming from just in front of the Capitol steps at the Bob's Hamburgers booth, which is part of this year's Oregon National Guard Hoopla.

State workers, and everyone can enjoy a Salem classic starting at 11:00 a.m. till 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday. The booth will be open on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Sunday from 9:00 to 5:00 p.m.

ONG Hoopla events kick-off Thursday morning at 10:00 a.m. with a free kids clinic till noon. No registration is required for this event.

By virtue of Puerto Rico’s second-place finish, it qualified for both the 2015 FIBA Americas Championship for Women.

(CORVALLIS, Ore. ) - Oregon State senior guard Ali Gibson Oregon State senior guard Ali Gibson took home silver as a member of the Puerto Rican National Team at the recently completed FIBA Americas Centrobasket Femenino, which wrapped up on Saturday in Monterrey, Mexico.

In five games, Gibson was Puerto Rico’s third-leading scorer, averaging 8.4 points while also contributing 2.8 rebounds and 2.0 steals.
