Zion`s Zealots: A Book Review and Nailing of Christian Fundamentalism

Many American Christian Evangelicals interpreted the creation of the state of Israel in 1948 and the return of the Jews to the Hebrews ancient homeland as a precondition for the Second Coming of Christ.

(CLERMONT, Fla.) - Zion`s Christian soldiers Millions of Americans believe in the theology espoused in the “Left Behind” series of novels that chronicle apocalyptic times set in the 21st century that winds up in Israel where, according to the author’s understanding of the Book of Revelation:

the final battle in the world will be fought on an ancient battlefield called Armageddon.

The Eruption of a Revolution; a Time Bomb Ticking to Explode Anytime

Witnessing the making of history but not recording it is a shame, so I became a chronicler of these events in my own way.

(UGANDA) - Arab Spring The Arab world is not yet done with the Arab Spring. While the Egyptians and Yemenians have refused to give no quarter to their respective military dictators, the people of Bahrain whom I thought chickened out are showing us that they have only made a tactical retreat.

Once again, they came back to haunt the anachronistic medieval kingdoms in the entire region.

Seen and Not Heard: Women in Sri Lanka`s Reconciliation Commission

Sri Lanka's Lessons Learned and Reconciliation Commission has just one female commissioner out of eight. For Tamil women, the LLRC simply reaffirms bad old habits.

(LONDON) - Sri Lanka`s LLRC If and when Sri Lanka’s Lessons Learned and Reconciliation Commission (LLRC) releases its report later this month, as scheduled, it will do so amid wide scepticism on many critical fronts – except, it seems, for one.

The credibility, independence and the ethnic balance of the post-war commission have been well-challenged internationally, since it was established by the President last year to ostensibly help reconcile the nation. But for the war’s tens of thousands of female survivors there has been little space and little said, by either the commission or its critics.

IAEA Exposed as Israeli Spy Front

America got suckered into invading Iraq, supposedly to find WMD programs. This is a cover story.

(CINCINNATI) - Salem-News.com This week, the media, all of it, traced stories about Iran’s nuclear weapons program to its real source.

The IAEA, which has been unable to locate the vast Dimona nuclear facility in Israel or even begin to ask questions about Israel’s illegal nuclear arsenal, has put together a “rigged” report built of rumors and spin.

Fear, Genocide and Torture in Sri Lanka

Survivors' well-founded fear of speaking out about torture in Sri Lanka is just one of the reasons that little information on the practice has been released.

(SALEM) - Scars of torture in Sri Lanka Freedom from Torture has published shocking new evidence of torture in Sri Lanka which demonstrates the practice has continued long after the end of the civil war in May 2009.

The research shows that torture is perpetrated by officials within both the military and the police and that people within the Tamil population who are perceived by the authorities as having links to the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) remain at risk of being detained and tortured.
