(EUGENE, Ore.) - Homeless man People, Occupy Protests and The Face of Homeless People, including mainstream news reporters, tend to play down the significance of the protests because so many of the "protesters" are homeless, often involved with alcohol and drug abuse, used to relieve the pain.

At first, I was discouraged by this scene, but kept going back to try to understand the root causes and dynamics of the protests.

Considering a Palestinian kid throwing stones gets imprisonment and mashed testicles...
Shalit got off lightly

How on earth does Shalit embody the values of life and respect for human rights?

(LONDON) - Standing his ground against invaders like Shalit, if caught this boy can expect a stiff sentence and abuse. While the whole world, it seemed, was in ecstasy over the freeing of Gilad Shalit, I was amazed to discover that the Israeli tank-gunner had been made an honorary citizen of Rome, Paris, Baltimore, Miami, Pittsburgh and New Orleans. Knowing what we know, that’s pretty sick stuff.

Rome's mayor, Gianni Alemanno, said that honouring Shalit in this way was "a gesture of high symbolic value, with which Rome chooses to salute the values of life, of solidarity and of respect for the human rights." He added, "You cannot win using violence, kidnapping and ransom."

B.L.O.O.D.

Faith gives one the ability to believe in the positive lessons that are taught, and it also releases a person from the madness of the society that misinterprets religion for personal gain and to inflict violence.

(CLEVELAND) - Jesus said: The blood of Christ, such a subject it is. The Bible teaches that it was shed for the good of mankind, so that people could be forgiven; that is the message, but it goes far beyond that.

The Bible teaches many lessons that are lost on mankind, and that is the root of much of the world's tragedy today. Lessons lost in other religious teachings account for a large part of everything else.

Palestinian Prisoners Are Not `Unpeople`; They Are Children of God

The Muamar brothers are not “unpeople”. They are children of God. They and all of their fellow political prisoners must be set free.

(CHICAGO) - Palestine family In a talk at New York City’s Barnard College the night the Hamas-Israeli prisoner exchange was announced, Noam Chomsky anticipated the one-sided media coverage of the exchange. PTSD and the American Legion Continued... the Body`s Own PTSD Medicine: Anandamide

Exploring some of the working ideas to treat America's war veterans.

(MOLALLA, Ore.) - Anandamide neurotransmitter Last month, September 20 2011, I posted the most excellent article about PTSD in the American Legion Magazine Sept. issue titled: 'The War Within: the Battle against PTSD.'. I have waited with baited breath for the sequel in the October issue.

Ken Olsen, who wrote the first part, was essentially "spot on" but I have serious reservations about the sequel by Steve Brooks, who has tossed in some rather arguable therapies.
