(TENNESSEE) - Nuclear protest Today, the third of The Y-12 Thirteen were sentenced. They were arrested on 5 July 2010 after crossing through the thin strands of barbed wire at the Y-12 Oak Ridge, nuclear weapons site in Tennessee and charged with trespassing.

Their motives were fueled by faith/conscience in protest of the continued and soon to be expanded production of Hydrogen Bomb materials at the Y-12 Complex.

Five Sri Lankan men go on trial tomorrow in The Hague accused of supporting the separatist Tamil Tigers, or LTTE. But their possible convictions are the tip of the iceberg in a case which will be interpreted in Sri Lanka as a decision on who is right and wrong in the country’s 30 year civil war.

(THE HAGUE Radio Netherlands) - Tamil Tigers flag As a bloody 3-decade war raged in northern and eastern Sri Lanka, significant parts of the Tamil diaspora spread throughout the world kept themselves busy in supporting roles, one of the most important of which for the Tamil leadership was fund-raising.

Only with millions of dollars flowing in from such groups could the LTTE keep itself adequately armed to fight Sri Lanka’s state military.

I've stumbled upon the most fascinating information about the discovery of Confederate weapons and uniforms in an abandoned Arkansas house in 1890, in a story left behind by my father's dad who we knew as 'Pop King'.

This Norman Rockwell-like experience from long ago, was a memory of my late grandfather, Francis Albert King, who made a reel to reel audio tape of his life's experiences shortly before his death, was transcribed into written form and this is the gem that my wife Bonnie recently located.

Sri Lanka Recalls Diplomat Accused of War Crimes

Swissinfo, an enterprise of the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation is reporting that former General Jagath Dias, currently stationed in a diplomatic post in Europe is being recalled by Sri Lanka.

(SALEM, Ore.) - General Jagath Dias The Sri Lankan government has recalled its second most senior diplomat to Switzerland and Germany in response to accusations he was involved in war crimes.

Former general Jagath Dias led the 57th division of the Sri Lankan army. He is accused of ordering his troops to fire upon civilian and hospital targets during the army’s final offensive against the rebel Tamil Tigers in 2009.
