(LAS CRUCES, N.M.) - Jose Refugio “Cuco” Ruvalcaba Plascencia A former Mexican police chief once known for his polemical jousts with the media and other authorities has been murdered in violence-torn Chihuahua state.

Jose Refugio “Cuco” Ruvalcaba Plascencia was gunned down in broad daylight August 10 inside an Applebee’s restaurant in Chihuahua City.

(AL WALAJA, Occupied Palestine) - Al-Walaja is one of the few Palestinian villages left, many date back to Biblical times, almost all have been destroyed by the Israeli government`s bulldozers Last Wednesday at 8:00 a.m., some 60-80 human rights advocates marched with drums and chants to the sites inside Al-Walaja al-Jadia (the new Al-Walaja) where the Israeli occupation forces are uprooting trees and destroying the beautiful landscape.

They are doing this to separate people from their agricultural lands and to allow for further expansion of illegal colonies built on Palestinian lands. Five Israelis were kidnapped.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Amber Alert I've known for some time that I needed to express my accumulation of not-so-positive thoughts on the Amber Alert system and the horrific joke is has become in our society.

One after another, almost every single time with few exceptions, these alerts are issued only when one or more of the parties are tied to public welfare support. In other words, the system isn't about reclaiming kids, it is about being sure deadbeat parents are arrested because the respective state governments have money on the line.

HTV-2 Collects Unique Data During Several Phases of Second Flight

Three technical challenges exist within this HTV-2 flight regime. They are categorized as aerodynamic; aerothermal; and guidance, navigation and control.

(WASHINGTON D.C.) - DARPA Today, DARPA attempted to fly the fastest aircraft ever built. The Agency’s Falcon Hypersonic Technology Vehicle 2 (HTV-2) is designed to fly anywhere in the world in less than 60 minutes. This capability requires an aircraft that can fly at 13,000 mph, while experiencing temperatures in excess of 3500F.

The second test flight began with launch at 0745 Pacific Time. The Minotaur IV vehicle successfully inserted the aircraft into the desired trajectory.
