Norway: Security Council Deplores Deadly Terrorist Attacks

The council voiced its deep sympathies for the victims and their families, and to both the people and Government of Norway.

(GENEVA) - Downtown Oslo in Norway Security Council members today strongly condemned the twin terrorist attacks in Norway that have killed more than 90 people, including many young people, and left numerous others injured.

At least 85 people died at Utoya after a lone gunman opened fire yesterday afternoon on participants in a youth camp connected to the ruling Labour Party, according to media reports.

Bomb Blast and Shooting in Norway Leave Dozens Dead

Deadly shootings and bomb blasts have shaken Norwegians to the core.

(UTOYA ISLAND AND OSLO) - Woman injured in a deadly blast in Oslo It has been the deadliest day in Norway since WWII, with as many as 17 died from an explosion in downtown Oslo, police said.

In a separate event 36 miles away, as many as nine to ten people are feared dead in a youth camp shooting where the suspect was reportedly dressed as a police officer.
