(EL PASO) - Richard Arina On Memorial Day, Albuquerque resident Michael Brown embarked on a run of more than 260-miles to the US-Mexico border.

The long-distance runner began his marathon at the spot where the bodies of 11 murdered women were found on Albuquerque’s West Mesa back in February 2009. Headed south, the US Navy veteran stopped at a grave site to honor his fallen military brethren and then visited the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Park in Truth or Consequences, NM.

Bill approved to expand dental care to underserved communities

SB 738 will use pilot projects to treat more low-income, rural Oregonians.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Oregon capitol The Oregon Senate approved legislation this morning that will expand access to dental services for underserved populations, such as low-income and rural Oregonians.

SB 738 allows qualified dental hygienists to provide essential dental hygiene services and creates a process for setting up pilot projects that will help expand access to dental care across the state.
