19th Annual Global Cannabis March/Oregon Cannabis Festival

In Portland on Saturday, May 5th, 2018 - 12pm-5pm - Pioneer Courthouse Square

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Global Cannabis March Nearly 300 cities worldwide, including Portland, Oregon, will participate in the annual Global Cannabis March on May 5.

A scheduled cannabis freedom march through downtown will take place in the afternoon. The day long event will showcase the Dr. Phillip Leveque Memorial Stage, in Pioneer Courthouse Square, complete with bands, speakers and vendor booths. This public event has always been free to attend.

Oregonian Newspaper Delivery Driver Killed in Weather Accident

An unfortunate accident befell a local Astoria woman.

(ASTORIA, Ore.) - Astoria On arrival it was determined that a delivery driver for the Oregonian newspaper, 50-year old Debra Kay Burnett, of Astoria, had attempted to climb a hilly section of 12th Street near Kensington with her delivery vehicle. She was on her regular route.

Due to the road being covered in snow and ice, the vehicle was not able to make it to the top of the street and began to slide backwards down the hill.
