'Moving'; the first thought I am left with after watching The Shooting of Tom Hurndall on Hulu last night.
I am familiar with his story, as I am with Rachel Corrie's; both were humanitarian activists killed by Israeli military forces while rallying to the aid of Palestinian people. In the case of Tom Hurndall, I understand this tragedy much more clearly now thanks to Simon Block who wrote the film, and Tom's family.

Portland Police Arrest Two Suspects for Murder

Detectives do not believe that the victim and suspects knew each other.
(PORTLAND, Ore.) -
On Tuesday February 1, 2011, Portland Police detectives along with the U.S. Marshals Oregon Fugitive Task Force arrested two suspects in connection with the death of 40-year-old Robert Williams.
39-year-old Lynette Anne Harris of Gresham and 23-year-old Jarome Lamont Weeks of Northeast Portland were arrested and each charged with one count of Murder and one count of Robbery in the First Degree.

Palestinian solidarity activists got an answer drenched in hypocrisy when they asked a Portland grocer to boycott Israeli goods, reports Wael Elasady.
(PORTLAND, Ore.) -
The Portland BDS Coalition is continuing its campaign to get local grocery chain New Seasons to remove Israeli-made products from its shelves, including holding informational pickets and organizing a letter campaign signed by 500 individuals and a number of local organizations.
Nevertheless, BDS campaigns such as this one offer one of the most effective means to end Israeli apartheid.
