WANTED: Unlawful Killer(s) of Black Tail Deer

Maybe the deer ran after being shot, but either way, someone needs to come forward.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Salem-News.com On Friday, November 3rd, 2017, Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife biologist located a black tail buck that was shot and left on Gravel Creek road.

The deer appeared to have been shot the night prior and was left with no meat taken. Oregon State Police is investigating the unlawful killing and waste of the black tail deer.

On November 16, 2017, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a tax overhaul bill.

(SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.) - House Republicans The U.S. Senate has their own bill. The Senate Finance Committee approved a $1.5 trillion tax overhaul proposal after four days of markup. The vote was 14-12, along party lines.

Earlier, Senate Republicans added a controversial provision to the bill, repealing the Affordable Care Act's individual mandate, to help raise revenues for tax cuts, which would result in 13 million fewer Americans being covered by health insurance.

Police Arrest Man for Murder of Kenny Kalugin

Oregon State Police SWAT was activated to assist in the arrest.

(SALEM, Ore.) - fatal shooting Shortly after 7:00 am, Friday, Salem Police officers responded to an alley west of the 1800 block of Liberty St NE on a report of an unconscious subject in a vehicle. Officers and medics located an adult male victim in a vehicle and confirmed that he was deceased.

The victim was identified as 37-year old Kenny Kalugin of Gervais. Autopsy results indicated that Kalugin died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds.

Snow is expected in the Northern Oregon Cascades above 4000 feet, so plan on difficult conditions if travelling across the Cascade passes or above. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches are expected.
