OMMP Postpones Change Fee and Grow Site Fee until New Year`s Day

HB 2198 made growers suddenly out of compliance and must now register properly.

(SALEM, Ore.) - OMMP bulletin The Oregon Medical Marijuana Program (OMMP) has adopted a temporary rule that will waive the replacement card fee and the $200 grow site fee until January 1, 2018.

The fee waiver will only apply to a patient who was growing for themselves or a caregiver growing for a patient that is affected by the 2017 legislative session.

Silverton Juvenile Killed in Carjacking Arrest

Officer Involved Shooting Investigation is Ongoing

(POLK COUNTY, Ore.) - Salem-News.com The Oregon State Police (OSP) with assistance from the Polk County Major Crimes Team is investigating an Officer Involved Shooting on Highway 18 near milepost 23 in Grand Ronde.

Preliminary information from investigators indicates deputies from the Polk County Sheriff's Office were notified of an armed carjacking and robbery that occurred around 4:00 a.m., in the Safeway parking lot at the corner of Silverton Road and Lancaster Drive NE in Salem.

President Orders Release of All Remaining Section 5 Records and More Precise Review for Remaining Redactions within Six Months

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - The National Archives The National Archives released 2,891 records related to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy that are subject to the President John F. Kennedy Assassination Records Collection Act of 1992 (JFK Act).

Based on requests from executive offices and agencies the President has allowed the temporary withholding of certain information that would harm national security, law enforcement, or foreign affairs.

Journalists Protest Against Israel`s Closure of Media Outlets

The Israeli military raided offices of three major media companies and ordered eight offices and branches shut down for six months.

(NABLUS /WAFA) - Nasser Abu Baker Dozens of journalists gathered at the center of Nablus city, in the northern West Bank, on Tuesday to protest Israel’s crackdown on the Palestinian media and closure of a number of media offices under the pretext of broadcasting inciting material.

The Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate asked the International Federation of Journalists to send a fact-finding commission to investigate Israel’s violations against Palestinian journalists and the media.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - AAA gas prices Prices at the pump continue to edge lower as production ramps up after a severe hurricane season. For the week, the national average for regular unleaded slips a penny to $2.46 a gallon while the Oregon average also dips a penny to $2.75.

Stayton Man Dies After Stabbing

(STAYTON, Ore.) - stayton murder The victim in last night's stabbing has been identified as 70-year old Jere Moody, of Stayton. Unfortunately, Mr. Moody died at the hospital. Mr. Moody's death is being investigated as a homicide.

The suspect, 26-year old Taylor Samuel, of Stayton, has been processed into the Marion County Jail for the crime of Murder.
