Woman Who Claimed to be Raped and Kidnapped Recants Story

(HILLSBORO, Ore.) - Washington County Sheriff badge Today Sheriff's detectives re-interviewed the victim in Tuesday's Kidnapping/Rape case that allegedly occurred in the community of Cedar Hills. They confronted Twenty-seven-year-old Amada Gonzalez-Herrera (from Beaverton) with facts that contradicted her claims of being kidnapped and raped. She previously claimed that a man got in her car while she was at a stop sign and subsequently raped and robbed her.

Detectives have been diligently working on the case since Mrs. Gonzalez-Herrera reported the alleged crime.

(MILWAUKIE, Ore.) - cpr On October 17th at 6:30 pm a local flight attendant performed CPR on a woman that went into cardiac arrest at the Safeway store located at 14840 SE Webster Road in Milwaukie.

Mary Kay Stupfel was shopping that evening and without any warning, her heart stopped and she fell to the floor.

Lincoln City Chamber of Commerce to Offer Internet Marketing Classes

(LINCOLN CITY, Ore.) - Lincoln City Chamber of Commerce The Lincoln City Chamber of Commerce, in an effort to continue to support and enhance members businesses, will be offering six (6) free internet marketing classes in 2011. The classes will cover Facebook; Twitter; Two-way communications through social networking; Marketing your business through social networks; and advanced Google tools.

These classes will take place on Wednesdays January 19th, 26th, and February 2nd, 2011 from 5:30pm to 8:50pm in the Community Room at the Oregon Coast Community College located at 3788 SE High School Drive, Lincoln City. These classes, valued at $180.00, will be offered free of charge to chamber members. Space is limited and will be on a first-come/first-served basis so it is recommended to reserve your spot early.

Ms. Blaylock was reported missing by co-workers when she failed to report for work on November 2nd.

A Tribute To Veterans

(WASHINGTON D.C.) - Tough life of a U.S. Army soldier based in Kabul, Afghanistan Jerry Calow sent this to our newsroom for Veterans Day, he explained that he was hoping to be able to see these words published to as a show of faith for veterans, many of whom live difficult lives after their military service.

Most of us who served can relate to the intense feelings that accompany military service. Wars fought by Americans have shown out Veterans the worst side of life; death and destruction and emotional stress at levels unimaginable to civilians.

WOU continues to serve more students with new enrollment record

(MONMOUTH, Ore.) - Western Oregon University Western Oregon University (WOU), Oregon's most nationally recognized small or mid-sized university, has reached another enrollment record with 6,233 students enrolled for fall 2010. This is an increase of 579 students (10 percent) over last year and a growth of 884 students (17 percent) over the past three years. Growth has grown in both undergraduate and graduate student populations and the student body is continually increasing in diversity.
