Is there a `Peoples` Solution` to Wrongful Convictions in Oregon?

The shortest and quickest route to justice here is to demand that Governors exercise their Constitutional duties.

(EUGENE, Ore.) - Wrongly convicted inmate Terrence Kimjble in Oregon All I can say is that there is already a "solution" to wrongful convictions, which is the authority of the Governor to pardon wrongfully convicted individuals, completely superseding the entire judiciary, even the Supreme Court of the U.S. (for State convictions, not for Federal).

Governors in general, and certainly in Oregon, have abdicated their Constitutional duties and responsibilities in this area.

Fiery Crash Stops Freeway Friday Night in Salem

A couple with a racing Jeep and a dog enroute to an event in Lebanon, Oregon crashed but escaped serious injury.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Car crash and fire on I-5 southbound through Salem, Oregon. Two lanes on southbound I-5 were closed on I-5 in Salem were closed Friday night. Our photographer Jerry Freeman caught up with the couple whose night came to a crashing fiery halt.

Black History Month (Don Imus now Dr. Laura?)

People don't realize how significant this is to the present day.

(CLEVELAND) - Imus and Dr. Laura Many Americans believe racial bigotry is a thing of the past; but an examination of very recent developments in the United States does not really support that theory. If America was healed from its racial past, the problems today would be very different.

Those who are not prejudiced and assume the same about others of their own race, do represent a significant part of the population. Ignorance may be bliss, but that is not what this country is really about.

(SALEM, Ore.) - weather forecast A strong ridge of high pressure will bring hot weather to the Northwest region from Corvallis, east to Hood River and north to Battleground, Washington Saturday through Monday.

High temperatures in the mid to upper 90s can be expected all weekend with some locations likely reaching 100 degrees on Sunday or Monday.

(SIMFEROPOL, Ukraine) - Space shuttle image In January 2011 we will observe the 75th anniversary of Simferopol airport. Its history began 21 January 1936, when it was decided by the of Council of people commissars of Crimean Authonomy to create flying field to the north of Simpferopol.

Thus a place was chosen obviously not by chance - latitude sharply 450 N, longitude 340 E. The opening of the first airline route between Simferopol and Moscow took place in May, 1936.

Surfer Chuck Patterson Up-Close to Great White Sharks at San Onofre

This is a lot closer to the shark immortalized by Jaws than most ocean-goers would ever get...especially on purpose.

(SAN ONOFRE, Calif.) - Great white shark A surfer in Southern California has wowed the world with some up close and personal footage of two great white sharks, that he shot from his board.

The underwater video was shot off San Onofre, California on Monday, August 9th by Chuck Patterson of Dana Point, California. He sat on his board using a camera mounted on a 10-foot pole, while the great whites circled the area, which is near the infamous surf spot, Trestles.

Salem Traffic Moving Again After Freeway Crash

The freeway was is halted for all traffic heading south through Salem.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Salem-News.com Two lanes on southbound I-5 are now open in Salem at milepost 257 after a one vehicle crash and fire. Traffic is moving slowly through the area. Expect delays.

Troopers on the scene say both grass and brush burned along side the road as a result of this crash.
