Immigration News SB 1070 Lite?

Police are citing Hispanic drivers for driving 4 MPH over the speed limit and hitting them up for citizenship.

(LAS CRUCES, N.M.) - Last week’s ruling by federal Judge Susan Bolton that suspended four central provisions of Arizona SB 1070 might bring some modicum of relief to people confronted with the possibility of being stopped by local police and asked for their citizenship papers.

However it left intact other sections of the law that immigrant advocates want tossed out, including criminalizing the transportation of undocumented persons and making it a crime to block traffic while soliciting work.

Iran Rejects Ahmadinejad Attack Reports

(TEHRAN) - Iran's presidential office has rejected as false reports of a grenade attack on President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in the western city of Hamedan.

Earlier Wednesday, some foreign news sources said Ahmadinejad's convoy was targeted by a homemade explosive device as he was travelling from Hamadan's airport to give a speech in a local sports arena.

`F` and `F` Bomb Continued

The euphemisms are numerous from the stated F word to Eff or Effing and one source says Effing should be in the dictionary. I won’t even go through that listing.

(MOLALLA, Ore.) - I recently wrote an article about the F bomb. I got into a discussion with our editor about the etymology or root of the well know F word. I had read about it in Time Magazine about 15 years ago which said it was based on the Dutch word FICKEN which meant thrust. Wikipedia said it was a German word. This required etymological research – so back to my computer.

I looked up the F word and found 1000 entries and 11,000,000 hits. That’s a lot of people to be interested in any four letter word.

Britain Cannot Handle the Truth.

(LONDON) - To tell the truth about Israeli barbarism is a breach of impartiality. The Guardian and the Jewish Chronicle reported today that, Ofcom, the UK broadcasting standards body, has ruled that Iranian-backed Press TV’s coverage of the Gaza flotilla incident breached guidelines on impartiality.

You ask yourself why? Their coverage of the Flotilla wasn’t pro-Israeli enough.
