Sturgeon Season Closes Above The Dalles Dam

36 fish per week is the average harvested in the last 3 weeks.

(CLACKAMAS, Ore) - Oregon sturgeon Fishery managers from Oregon Washington closed the Columbia River to retention of sturgeon in The Dalles Reservoir between The Dalles and John Day dams, effective May 6.

The action was taken during a joint hearing of the two states based on surveys indicating that anglers are on track to achieve their harvest guideline of 300 sturgeon by that date.

(CIUDAD / SALEM) - Recent violence in Ciudad, Juarez Mexico. Perhaps the term "drug war" has been so greatly abused in America that people fail to realize there is a real drug war taking place no more than a stone's throw from the U.S. border with Mexico.
