Two Brothers Sue Archdiocese of Portland for Childhood Sex Abuse

Two brothers allegedly abused by Father James Harris, one also by Father Maurice Grammond, filed a lawsuit.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - child abuse In two lawsuits filed today in U.S. District Court in Portland, two brothers, now adults, allege that their Catholic priest sexually abused them when they were children living in St. Paul, Oregon.

Father James Harris served as a Catholic priest in the St. Paul Parish in Silverton, Oregon in the mid to late 1960s when he abused the brothers and one of their childhood friends.

Cooley's car was found at the Miramonte Lodge Apartments on SE McLoughlin.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - merrilee cooley The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help to solve the homicide of Merrilee Cooley.

68-year-old Merrilee Bonnie Cooley of Johnson City was last seen by her family on December 26, 2016. Two days later she was reported missing to the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office.

Dayton Woman Killed in Head-on Crash

Tragic accident in Yamhill County

(DAYTON, Ore.) - Dayton fatal crash According to Troopers on scene, a 2005 Jeep Liberty, operated by 19-year old Madelyn West of Beaverton was traveling east on Hwy 18. West's vehicle crossed into the west bound lane of travel colliding head-on with a 2000 GMC Envoy.

The GMC was operated by 68-year old Bertha Martinez, of Dayton.

Salem Police Investigating Fatal Shooting in Northeast Salem

Two men were shot, one fatally.

(SALEM, Ore.) - shooting Salem Police detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in the 1300 block of Lancaster Dr NE at approximately 10:45 pm on Sunday evening.

Officers were dispatched the area of the 1300 block of Lancaster Dr NE on a report of a possible shooting. Witnesses reporting seeing someone on foot who fired gunshots at a light colored jeep. The jeep and the person on foot then left the area.

ODOT Loses Maintenance Crew Member to Medical Emergency

Perry Lee had been an ODOT employee for 23 years

(SALEM, Ore.) - ODOT The Oregon Department of Transportation lost a member of our family Thursday afternoon.

60-year old Perry D. Lee was a Transportation Maintenance Specialist 2 with the Oakridge Maintenance Crew. He was working outside of Oakridge when he suffered a medical emergency and died during transport to the hospital.

They can estimate phosphorus and suspended-sediment loads to Upper Klamath Lake.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - USGS Large algal blooms are attributed to high phosphorus concentrations in the lake during the summer causing numerous water-quality problems.

The blooms are considered a contributor to survival problems for the endangered Lost River and shortnose suckers, which are culturally significant fish for the Klamath Tribes located near the lake.

(WASHINGTON D.C.) - hiring freeze Monday, in one of his first acts as President, Trump signed an Executive Order implementing a 90 day hiring freeze across the executive branch, including at the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Congressman Kurt Schrader (OR-5) and Congressman Seth Moulton (MA-6) introduced legislation Tuesday that would prohibit any hiring freeze from specifically affecting the VA.
