Gaston Man dies in Crash on Highway 47

Neither speed nor alcohol appear to be factors. The roadway was wet and it was raining.

(GASTON, Ore.) - Fatal crash Police report that a Gaston-area man died Monday night in a single vehicle traffic crash on Highway 47 about 1.5 miles south of Gaston. Oregon State Police troopers say they are continuing the investigation.

They say December 14th at approximately 11:00 p.m., a 2003 Ford F-150 pickup driven by 62-year old Alfred L. Spry of Gaston, was southbound on Highway 47 near milepost 27 when, for an unknown reason, it traveled off the highway and down the road side ditch for about 250 feet.

Ten-Year Old Boy Struck by Vehicle in McMinnville Crosswalk

‏Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to call the McMinnville Police Department at 503 434-7307.

(MCMINNVILLE, Ore.) - Pedestrian hit Emergency responders were called to a report of a vehicle versus pedestrian crash in McMinnville this evening at 5:35 p.m.

McMinnville Police say medics and police arrived on scene and shut down the north bound lanes of Hwy 99W at the location while the pedestrian was treated and the investigation was conducted.

Accepting the fact that Afghanistan will solve their own problems and that no foreign power will do anything positive there militarily is paramount.

(CINCINATTI, Ohio) - Afghan recruits lined up for a Vice Presidential visit. When General Petraeus asked for the "surge" in Iraq, he also opened negotiations with top Sunni and Shiite militia leaders, opened not only "negotiations" but started passing out cash.

This combined with the "hammer" of a powerful new military force was the temporary military solution he had been tasked with, one that was, within limits, successful. The lack of real diplomatic negotiations after that has bogged the US down in Iraq where it now looks like we may spend years.

Trucker Killed While Applying Chains on Interstate 84 Off Ramp in Ontario

The freeway off ramp was closed about two hours during the scene investigation.

(ONTARIO, Ore.) - Fatal crash near Ontario, Oregon 12-15-09 Oregon State Police troopers, with the help of Malheur County Sheriff's Office and Ontario Police Department, are continuing the investigation into a fatal crash Tuesday morning in the Ontario area.

It was snowing heavily when two commercial truck drivers chaining up a vehicle were hit by a third commercial vehicle on a freeway off ramp resulting in the death of one person and injuries to a second.
