That is how the family of Elijah Rao began their post on a blog Saturday. Elijah Rao and his family paid the nation's ultimate sacrifice in Afghanistan when a roadside bomb planted by terrorists snatched his life away this weekend.

15-Year Old Salem Boy Killed in Hunting Accident (UPDATE)

(MCMINNVILLE, Ore.) - Yamhill County Sheriff badge Officials in Yamhill County say a 15-year old Salem boy was killed this morning when he was shot by a member of his hunting party.

Yamhill County Sheriff Jack Crabtree, says the victim, 15-year old Matthew Gretzon, his father, sister and uncle were hunting in the 59000 block of Highway 22, approximately 3 miles north of Grand Ronde.

Police say the stabbing occurred approximately 9:30 p.m. last night.

(CALGARY, Alberta) - Strawberry Fields Forever We were sitting on a park bench watching the joggers go by when my friend remarked: “You know, all these people who jog, go to the gym, eat granola, don’t drink and don’t smoke, are going to be mighty embarrassed one day when they are lying in a hospital bed dying of nothing in particular.”

Police Investigate Suspicious Packages on Linfield College Campus

Five suspicious packages discovered on campus did not turn out to be explosive devices.

(MCMINVILLE, Ore.) - Salem-News.com McMinnville Police found a number of suspicious packages in several open areas on Linfield College Campus early this morning just after 5:30 a.m.

They now report that the suspicious packages on the Linfield College Campus have been cleared by McMinnville Police, Linfield College Public Safety, and the Oregon State Police bomb squad.

When I arrived to this city by bus, I was surprised to see it all intact, especially after having heard about it being the most attacked city in the whole of Israel.

(JENIN, West Bank PIC) - Abul Haija The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnapped at dawn Wednesday the son of senior Hamas official in Israeli jails Jamal Abul Haija during an incursion into the town of Beit Qad east of Jenin.

Sajida, the daughter of Abul Haija, said that Israeli troops kidnapped her 20-year-old brother during his presence inside a greenhouse in the town, noting that he was previously imprisoned in Israeli jails.
