Age Progression: an Aid in Locating Stolen American Babies

Experts believe that many infants abducted long ago can still be located.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Salem-News.com You could call it "future forecasting". Photo progression technology has advanced the science of locating missing children in ways that investigators of yesterday only dreamed of.

A Salem-News.com contributor in Canada, Andrea Stroh, assembled a list of abducted babies from across America. The list is not complete, but it gives a reader an idea of the immensity of the problem. The list below is approximately 60 abducted infants aged birth to two years old, who have been missing over the last 50 years or so.

Experts believe it is possible that many of these infants may still be "recoverable", as statistically, children this age are usually abducted more often by people with psychological problems, who want to raise a child, as opposed to sexual predators who may harm them.

Efforts Underway to Free Two Pirate-Held Planes in Somalia

(PUNTLAND, Somalia) - Seized plane in Puntland Authorities in Somalia's Puntland State government have seized two Kenya-bound airplanes that allegedly transported pirate suspects to Puntland without the local government's knowledge, government sources tell Garowe Online.

The two airplanes were seized by Puntland security forces on Sunday after landing at the airport in Galkayo, the provincial capital of Mudug region.

Coast Guard Responds With Several Agencies to Capsized Vessel

Only two people out of six were wearing their life jackets when the boat rolled over near Manhattan Beach, Oregon.

(MANHATTAN BEACH, Ore.) - Coast Guard Group/Air Station Astoria launched a rescue helicopter crew The Coast Guard, Rockaway Beach, Oregon Police and Fire, the Tillamook Sheriff's department, Nehalem Fire and Tillamook County EMS responded to a report of six people in distress after the 21-foot boat they were in capsized at the entrance to Nehalem Bay, Monday.

New Equations for `Back to School` in Oregon Today

Groups with links to oil, timber and banking companies, are trying to repeal a tax base for schools that raised corporate taxes only about $10 a year - and increased taxes on the wealthiest Oregonians.

(BEAVERTON, Ore. ONS) - Kids at chalkboard Summer vacation is officially over, and today it's back to school for most Oregon public school students. Maureen Ruddy is a first-grade teacher at Rock Creek Elementary School, Beaverton, who spent the holiday weekend setting up her classroom.

Although she and other educators are excited about the first days of class, she says some uneasiness exists due to pressure to deliver good test scores when students will get less help because of budget constraints.

IOF Willfully Kill a Child in Beit Hanoun Town, Northern Gaza

PCHR has recently documented many cases in which IOF positioned along the border opened fired at agricultural areas and houses.

(GAZA CITY, Occupied Palestine) - IDF forces firing in Gaza City Israeli Occupation Forces killed a 14-year-old child, Ghazi al-Za’anin, in Beit Hanoun town in the northern Gaza Strip Friday. IOF troops shot the child from close range, while he was walking with his family. This child was the second to be killed by IOF in less than a week.

Palestinian Centre for Human Rights investigations, and eye-witness testimony, indicates that Maher Ghazi al-Za’anin drove his four children, including Ghazi, 14, to their farm, 500 meters away from the border with Israel, in the northeast of Beit Hanoun town.
