They want to throw poor Americans under the train but then what else is new. They're the same people who voted for Bush. They are the same ones who use Christianity as an excuse the way the Taliban use Islam as an excuse.

Corvallis Police Investigate Homicidal Death of 78-Year Old Woman

Police want to hear from anyone who observed a person between Saturday and Sunday afternoon, acting out of place, suspicious in nature or with blood on their clothing, shoes or skin.

(CORVALLIS, Ore.) - Salem-News.com The Corvallis Police and the Benton County Major Crimes Team was activated Sunday to investigate a suspicious death at 2120 NW Janssen Street in Corvallis.

Captain Jonathan M. Sassaman with Corvallis Police says the deceased is 78-year old Yvonne C. Perry who lived at the above address in apartment #J-1.

Depoe Bay Shark Confirmed as Great White (PHOTOS)

Under State and Federal law, it is unlawful to take or possess Great White Sharks.

(NEWPORT, Ore.) - Great White Depoe Bay Oregon State Police Fish & Wildlife Division is continuing the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the possession of what is confirmed as a 12-foot Great White Shark in the Depoe Bay area this weekend.

OSP Sergeant Todd Thompson says an OSP Fish & Wildlife Division trooper was working on the Depoe Bay docks August 8, 2009 at 8:00 p.m. when a shark was brought in by a recreational tuna boat.

Police Identify Four Teens Killed in Crash Near Clatskanie

Quadruple Fatal Traffic Crash on Highway 30 also injures another driver and a fifth teen.

(CLATSKANIE, Ore.) - Fatal crash, Clatskanie, Oregon 8-10-09 Police say four teenagers died and a fifth was critically injured Monday morning when the sport utility vehicle they were in collided with a van on Highway 30 about one mile west of Clatskanie in Columbia County.

The teenagers are from Clark County, Washington and their names are not being released until after Oregon State Police investigators have confirmed next of kin notifications are completed.

15 Casualties Reported Over 14 Days in Afghanistan and Iraq

The average age among the fallen is 25.

(SALEM, Ore.) - KIA: James D. Argentine, Travis T. Babine, Christian A. Guzman Rivera, Jay M. Hoskins, Anthony C. Garcia, Keiffer P. Wilhelm, Ronald G. Luce Jr., Alejandro Granado, Severin W. Summers III, Jonathan M. Walls, Richard K. Jones, Patrick S. Fitzgibbon,  Johnn Reports of American casualties in Afghanistan are frequent in recent days. In this dispatch we learn that nine U.S. Army soldiers, five Marines and one U.S. Navy sailor were killed between July 25 and August 7, 2009.

Thirteen of the deaths occurred during combat operations in Afghanistan. One soldier died from injuries suffered during an anti-tank grenade in Iraq, and one soldier in Iraq died from non-combat related circumstances.

Smokeless `E-Cigarettes` Raise New Health Concerns (AUDIO)

Oregon’s Ban has National Implications.

(SALEM, Ore. ONS) - Oregon is the first state to ban the sale of so-called electronic cigarettes, and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will soon be in court to fight the same battle nationally.

The battery-operated tube looks like a real paper-and-tobacco cigarette, but contains nicotine and flavors that can be inhaled without producing smoke. The FDA wants to regulate them as drug devices.

Over a Million Evacuated as Typhoon Morakot Strikes East China

More than 300 houses have collapsed, and 16,200 hectares of farmland were inundated. The city's airport was closed and 56 roads were cut off by rainstorms.

(FUZHOU, China ) - Typhoon damage at Hongshan Village in Xiapu County, southeast China`s Fujian Province Typhoon Morakot slammed into Chinese provinces on the eastern coast on Sunday, causing casualties, destroying houses and inundating farmlands.

Morakot made landfall in the coastal areas of Beibi Town, Xiapu County in Fujian Province, at 4:20 p.m., packing winds up to 118.8 kilometers per hour in its eye, the province's meteorological bureau said.
