PTSD Sissies and the Most Decorated World War Two Veteran: Audie Murphy

To see if I was on the right track, I Googled PTSD SISSIES on my computer and there it was, including several miserable articles stating in effect that PTSD just like the holocaust did not/does not occur.

(MOLALLA, Ore.) - Audie Murphy I have had many email responses to my articles on PTSD and disgusting medical mis-management by the Army and the VA. Some emails say PTSD Vets are just whiners and wimps, it’s only in their heads and trash like that.

Well to start with the PTSD demons ARE in our heads and they are stuck there. Medical articles state that PTSD symptoms reappear even 50 years later. I can attest as they are still with me after 65 years.

Eternal Life

Life experiences from our writer who specializes in matters of religion and faith.

(PASO ROBLES, Calif.) - Heaven in the clouds From my own experience, and from being told by relatives and friends, I know that deceased persons - or those on the verge - have involved themselves briefly in the lives of the living, often for the purpose of comforting them. They are not experiences about which one is prone to speak, but neither will they likely ever forget.

On Tax Posture

Desperation May Drive Initiative-Wars to Extremes.

(EUGENE, Ore.) - Salem-News.com Corporate and labor leaders now need desperately to join the Oregon Legislature in swallowing hard, then taking a deep breath, before taking any decisive step: WHATEVER IT TAKES to resolve and remedy the resounding results of the Senate votes-debacle.

ALL involved must NOW calm down, recapture AND clear minds, to concentrate on the COMMONWEAL and on COLLABORATION. For this one, at this time, under these once-in-a century economic “insecurities” (!), COMPETITION may cause complete consternation --first for perpetrators and later for all, as we reap the INEVITABLE, NOW UNAVOIDABLE rapacious PUBLIC-SERVICE impacts.

Keeping a Clear Picture for the DTV Switch Friday

Unfortunately, local retailers have mostly been selling boxes in the $60 to $100 range, while the government coupons, still available for free, amount to a $40 savings on the cost of the box.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - DTV switchover For one of America's favorite pastimes, the digital age starts this Friday. It's the official day for the switch to digital television signals or "DTV," and it means Oregonians accustomed to watching free, over-the-air programs on older television sets need to have a digital converter box hooked up - or all they'll see is snow on the screen.

Jonathan Lawson, executive director of the Northwest-based advocacy group Reclaim the Media, says television stations have been doing a good job explaining that the change is near. However, the people who depend on older-model sets with the "rabbit-ear" style antennas also happen to be the viewers least likely to know about switch.
