Op Ed: `Black Arts` Of Disinformation Threaten Nation
By Henry Clay Ruark for Salem-News.com
Dollar-power drives “dirty jobs” for private interests.
(EUGENE, Ore.) -
Despite driving governmental reform probabilities to new and transformative heights, “the vote” of Nov. 4th revealed once again the real rot now ravaging our democracy.
Heavily increased destructive, damaging, dangerously unprincipled, unethical and malicious political advertising now panders to the very worst psychological factors in communications directly shaping public opinion.
Those perverse applications of positive knowledge are distorting (some think perverting) what should be an essential and ethical democratic pattern and protocol for any responsible citizen understandings.

Depression: Anti-Depressants, Male Sex Boobytraps
Dr. Phillip Leveque Salem-News.com
Phillip Leveque has spent his life as a Combat Infantryman, Physician Pharmacologist and Toxicologist.
(MOLALLA, Ore.) -
I have had a few PTSD Veteran victims come in for MJ permits who informed me that one of their PTSD symptoms was E.D., Erectile Dysfunction. This surprised me because I knew from my own experience and the experience of my combat buddies that sex relations was one of the ways a combat soldier could forget being bombed or shot at if even for a few minutes (or hours).
Such being the case, I was not surprised to read in Peoples Pharmacy a medical/pharmacology news feature about this problem by Joe & Teresa Graedon. I believe Joe Graedon has a Masters Degree in Pharmacology but this news feature is how he makes a living. Joe fields write-in questions.
This one stated that he had been taking Prozac for about 5 years and could not get a sexual climax. He was switched to Celexa which didn’t help either. Joe’s answer clarified this problem – somewhat! He said that pharmaceutical company statements said this was rare (2-16 percent) but truthful information indicated this erectile dysfunction (E.D.) was 30 to 70 percent.

Oregon State Police troopers arrested a southeast Portland man early Saturday morning after he drove away from the scene of a traffic crash on Interstate 205 that caused another involved vehicle to cross over the center median and crash head-on with a third vehicle. Five people were injured in the two other involved vehicles.
Preliminary investigation indicates on November 21, 2008 at approximately 11:02 PM a 2003 Honda Civic driven by the suspect was southbound on Interstate 205 near milepost 14 when it rear-ended a rented 2008 Ford F150 pickup driven by 62-year old John R. Smart of Detroit, Michigan.
The impact caused the Ford pickup to lose control, spin out and drive up the center median embankment into the left northbound lane where it crashed head-on with a 2004 Nissan driven by 42-year old Kevin W. Chong of Vancouver, Washington.
