Health Advisory Issued August 12 for Water Contact at Sunset Bay State Park Beach

Neighboring beaches are not affected by this advisory.

(COOS COUNTY, Ore.) - The Oregon Health Authority issued a public health advisory today for high levels of bacteria in ocean waters at Sunset Bay State Park Beach in Coos County.

Water samples indicate higher-than-normal levels of fecal bacteria, which can result in diarrhea, stomach cramps, skin rashes, upper respiratory infections and other illnesses.
