Linfield College Student Stabbing Death and Police Shooting Investigation Underway

Police Dispatch recordings have been released (below).

(McMINNVILLE, Ore.) - Parker Archie Moore On Saturday, November 15, 2014, McMinnville Police officers responded to the report of a stabbing at the 7-11 located at 901 SE Baker Street. The stabbing victim was identified as 20-year old Parker Archie Moore, a Linfield Student from Woodinville, WA.

Shortly after arriving, officers were confronted by the suspect of the stabbing and he was shot and killed by the officers.

(JERUSALEM) - Yusef a-Shawamreh In March 2014, soldiers shot and killed Yusef a-Shawamreh, a 14-year-old Palestinian boy, as he went through a gap in the Separation Barrier in order to pick edible plants to help provide for his family.

B’Tselem’s investigation indicates that he was shot in broad daylight, with no advance warning and although he posed no danger.

(WASHINGTON D.C.) - dark market websites Federal law enforcement has taken action against over 400 Tor hidden service .onion addresses, including dozens of “dark market” websites, that were offering a range of illegal goods and services for sale on the “Tor” network, a special network of computers on the Internet designed to conceal the locations of individuals using it.

The website addresses and computer servers hosting these websites were seized yesterday as part of a coordinated international law enforcement action.

(WASHINGTON D.C.) - Oregon report card Portland is believed to have the highest rate of strip clubs per capita and has been dubbed “Pornland,” but a new study by Shared Hope International shows Oregon’s effort to crack down on trafficking may be paying off.

(SALEM, Ore.) - oregon measure 91 Bottom Lines for Oregon Election 2014? Oregon voters are pretty savvy on a lot of issues; Oregon is a one-party state; money still exercises a lot of speech in Oregon – and “Follow the Money” remains the best political advice; New Jersey, Illinois, Louisiana, Carl Hiaasen’s Florida...aren’t the only states with political soap operas and dubious ethics...

One cannot lead off about Oregon Election 2014 with anything other than the End of Prohibition (again). Whew. It’s been a long haul. It was the fourth try here. Pretty much the sole opposition came from the Oregon Sheriffs and the State Prosecuting Attorneys, who financed the No on Measure 91 campaign. Of course, they feared their Asset Seizure and Butts-in-Jail Beds scams coming to an end.
