(PORTLAND, OR) - Marijuana: The Aphrodisiac This has been the motto of young men ever since, but now the situation has changed with the estimated 40 million or so users of marijuana. Just forget about Spanish Fly.

The garbage that marijuana users "just want to get high" is just that --- garbage. From my experience with about 5,000 medical marijuana patients, getting "high" is an adverse effect of marijuana use. I know this to be a fact because on two occasions, I accidentally and unwittingly ate two marijuana infused cookies.

(SALEM/GAZA STRIP) - Gaza researchers find cure for hepatitis C A team of researchers on the Gaza Strip say they have created a cure for hepatitis type B and, more importantly, hepatitis type C.

The group conducted experiments on people who tested positive for hepatitis (B&C), and after the submission of these patients for the drug, all tested negative with the treatment ranging from 15 to 30 days.

Salem Police Seek Robbery Suspect

No weapon was displayed; however, he indicated he was armed. No one was injured during the incident.

(SALEM) - Robbery suspect in Salem Oregon 29 Jan 2014 An unidentified male suspect entered the 7-11 Store located at 1690 Market St NE Wednesday evening at about 7:00 PM and robbed it of an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a white male, 25-40 years of age, 5'08" to 5'10", 170 to 190 pounds, bald head, dark colored goatee, wearing a grey down jacket with a plaid shirt underneath, faded blue jeans, and black tennis shoes.

Iraqi Government Threatens Action Against Kurds as Oil Exports Set to Begin

Zebra Fish Fins Help Oregon Researchers Gain Insight Into Bone Regeneration

Bone regrowth in humans may be enhanced by manipulating activities of opposing molecular pathways

(EUGENE) - Stewart and Stankunas University of Oregon biologists say they have opened the window on the natural process of bone regeneration in zebra fish, and that the insights they gained could be used to advance therapies for bone fractures and disease.

In a paper placed online in advance of print in the Feb. 13 issue of the journal Cell Reports, the UO team shows that two molecular pathways work in concert to allow adult zebra fish to perfectly replace bones lost upon fin amputation.

(COLOMBO) - Christians in Sri Lanka Recent attacks on Christian places of worship by Buddhist extremists have sparked protests in the Sri Lanka capital against a perceived lack of religious freedom, World Watch Monitor reports.

The organization reports the story of Christians around the world under pressure for their faith and it said that more than 2,000 Christians gathered in Colombo on Sunday to protest.
