Fatal Traffic Crash - Highway 223 south of Dallas in Polk County

The driver of the sport utility vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene. His name will be released Friday morning.

(DALLAS) - Oregon State Police (OSP) is continuing the investigation of Thursday afternoon's fatal traffic crash involving a loaded log truck and sport utility vehicle on Highway 223 about three miles south of Dallas.

The highway reopened about 5:00 p.m. and the names of the occupants in the log truck are released in this update.
