Oregon Senate Stands Up for College Athletes

Oregon may join several other states in allowing college athletes to earn compensation beginning July 1, 2021.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Oregon sports Today, the Oregon Senate passed Senate Bill 5, which would allow college athletes at Oregon’s public and private universities to receive compensation for use of their name, image, and likeness.

The bill was crafted with input from Oregon college athletes and universities.

Motorcyclist Killed in Crash Near St. Paul

(SALEM, Ore.) - fatal motorcycle On Monday, May 31st, first responders were called to the scene of a serious motor vehicle crash on Arbor Grove Road NE at St. Paul Highway NE a few minutes before 6:00 pm.

Five Arrests Following May 25 Protest turned Riot in Downtown Portland

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Portland protests Today, Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt filed charges against Jarrid Huber, Elizabeth Hall, Emery Hall and Jacob Myers.

Idanha Man Arrested for Kidnapping and Strangulation

He was treated at Salem Hospital, then lodged in the Linn County Jail.

(LINN COUNTY, Ore.) - Christopher Walker Sunday night around 11:53 p.m., Linn County deputies responded to a domestic disturbance on Cedar Avenue in Idanha.

The suspect, 52-year old Christopher Walker, from Idanha, reportedly forced his ex-girlfriend into a room at her residence and strangled her. When deputies arrived, Walker was located and resisted arrest.
