Marijuana Mis-Information and Former Congressman Patrick Kennedy

S.A.M.: "Smart Approaches to Marijuana" (what's so smart about it, anyway??)

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - cannabis tea It should be noted that Patrick Kennedy was a self-admitted addict to alcohol, cocaine and Oxycontin.

I routinely cruise the NYTimes for articles on marijuana, pro or con. You cannot imagine my surprise to read a "Letter to the Editor" dated Oct 27 2013, from Mr. Kennedy and his partner in crime, Kevin A. Sabet of S.A.M. (Smart Approaches to Marijuana).

They referred to the legalization of medical marijuana in California in 1996 and revolted in horror that in 2004 California was opening dispensaries where marijuana products could be purchased. Their revulsion was based on the premise that now that marijuana was legalized, that there would be a rise in marijuana use and marketing.

Father of Diane Downs Remains Vigilant After 30 Years (VIDEO)

Frederickson says evidence clearly proves his daughter could not have shot her children.

(DALLAS, Texas) - Wes Frederickson 30 years have passed, but the parents of Diane Downs, Wes and Willadene Frederickson, still remain hopeful that their daughter can find justice in Oregon's courts for a wrongful conviction and life sentence.

They raise many concerns over her three-decade old conviction for the shooting of her three children, one of whom died, and say even the most basic tests for courts were not met or passed. We're talking about things like blood splatter, and gunshot residue... telltale signs of involvement with a crime involving a firearm.

Sri Lanka: People `Putting Themselves at Risk`

Our story of reporting in Sri Lanka is totally insignificant compared to that of the countless thousands who have been killed, tortured or disappeared...

(LONDON ) - Journalisrts killed in Sri Lanka In the media pack given to all arriving journalists at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) being held in Sri Lanka next week is a 222 page book called "Corrupted Journalism".

It is an out and out attack on Channel 4 and our journalism. As we only received our visas this week (our accreditation process took 8-10 weeks as opposed to the 2-3 weeks it took everyone else) I do not have this weighty tome in my hands, so I can't react to everything it says.

Many consider local food a drop in the bucket, up against industrial agriculture, not realizing its power.

(WASHINGTON, DC) - Modern day militia This is not about local food anymore. It is about a push for everything local and the local plans that can free us from debt, from corruption, from fear, from sickness, from control, from ignorance, from isolation and loneliness, from joblessness, from injustice.

In every one of the major areas where localization is bursting forth, there are major government efforts to malign those involved, to block information, to use regulations and unconstitutional laws and/or police to crush what works and any new initiatives.

Halliburton`s Elixir
And The Fracking Truth

I never saw a city boy yet who was worth a damn. - Ernest Hemingway

(DAYTONA BEACH) - Drinking fracking water It was a warm day in Denver, just a little over two years ago, when a simple event took place that had enormous portents for the oil industry, which will be elaborated on later.

Not realizing that he was a harbinger of a major movement to come, Dave Lesar, the CEO of Halliburton, the oil company made famous by a former CEO and somedel Vice-President of the United States, took a swig of fracking water during an oil industry convention, in defiance of industry critics and environmental alarmists.
